(Senior) DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

Job summary

adj*** is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Cloud Engineering team, responsible for the underlying infrastructure supporting mobile app growth and monetization technologies. The role involves designing and operating cloud infrastructure at scale, managing containerized applications in Kubernetes, and working with a stack that includes Kafka, Druid, Airflow, Spark, and Terraform. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS services and microservice event-driven architectures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering
• Designed and operated cloud infrastructure at scale
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes
• Deep understanding of the AWS ecosystem
• Strong understanding of AWS services (EKS, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, IAM, Lambda)
• Manage infrastructure as code through Terraform
• Understand tradeoffs between managed AWS services and open-source alternatives
• Experience with microservice event-driven architecture
• Understand how microservices communicate: topics, queues, object storage
• Experience with reliable CI/CD as a product requirement
• Comfortable migrating existing workloads to self-hosted solutions
• Comfortable introducing new tools to boost business results

Responsibilities

• Work across a stack that includes Kafka, Druid, Airflow, Spark, Terraform, and Gitlab running on Kubernetes clusters across data centers
• Support backend teams building high-performance Go services across distributed environments
• Build pipelines that are fast, predictable, and low-maintenance
• Migrate existing workloads to self-hosted solutions
• Introduce new tools to boost business results
• Own projects with impact on 770 million users and push AdTech boundaries
• Ship solutions multiple times a day
• Learn from results and maintain momentum
• Solve problems openly and collaborate across teams
