Senior Devops Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer designs, implements, and maintains secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines to improve software delivery, reliability, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, Docker and Kubernetes operations, monitoring, incident response, DevSecOps, and cloud cost optimization. The role supports AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments; familiarity with AI/ML workloads is an advantage.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and automation
• Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization
• Understanding of DevSecOps, cloud security, identity and access management, secrets management, and vulnerability management
• Experience with Git and version control workflows
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience managing production systems with high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery requirements

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, deployment, and releases
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure
• Implement infrastructure as code
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications
• Develop and maintain automation scripts
• Monitor infrastructure, applications, and services for availability, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices
• Integrate security checks, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines
• Manage cloud networking, access controls, identity and access management, backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Collaborate with software engineering teams on deployment strategies, release management, and development workflows
• Maintain operational documentation, infrastructure standards, and best practices
• Optimize cloud resource utilization, system efficiency, and operational costs
