Job summary

The Bundesdruckerei-Gruppe is seeking a Team Lead SRE in Berlin to lead and develop the SRE team, ensuring continuous availability and security of digital services. This role involves implementing SRE practices, collaborating with other teams to improve service reliability, and developing strategies for risk mitigation and incident resolution. The Team Lead will also be responsible for promoting automation and managing change to support business goals.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science or comparable education
• Several years of experience in disciplinary leadership of a technical team
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
• Extensive knowledge of working with cloud platforms and container technologies like Kubernetes
• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve disruptions
• Strong customer orientation and the pursuit of excellent service
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in German and English

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SRE team to ensure continuous availability and security of digital services
• Introduce and monitor SRE practices and processes to improve system performance and reduce downtime
• Actively collaborate with other teams, especially software developers and architects, to continuously improve and scale the reliability of services and projects
• Develop strategies for risk mitigation and rapid incident resolution to ensure system stability and availability
• Promote process automation to reduce manual interventions and increase operational efficiency
• Responsible for change management and the introduction of new technologies and systems to support the business goals of Bundesdruckerei
