Job summary
This internship role focuses on developing an AI-ready data platform, enabling self-service data discovery and usage. Key responsibilities include designing data platform capabilities, developing AI agents, and building APIs and automation frameworks using technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Java, Python, and the Azure Data Platform Ecosystem.

Qualifications
- Penultimate year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence
- Passion for solving business problems with data and AI
- Curiosity and willingness to explore emerging technologies
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a learning bias
- Interest in technology and business domains
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, or MCP is a plus
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts and distributed processing
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus
- Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, Dremio, or similar platforms is a plus
- Understanding of vector databases and semantic search is a plus
- Experience building APIs with Spring Boot, FastAPI, or similar frameworks is a plus
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- Interest in Data Mesh, data products, data governance, and AI-enabled analytics
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-ready data platform capabilities for self-service data discovery
- Develop AI agents and MCP-based integrations for natural language interaction
- Collaborate with domain owners to create intelligent data consumption experiences
- Build APIs, services, and automation frameworks for AI agents and applications
- Contribute to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise data
- Assist in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-native services
- Create proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies in AI and data engineering
- Partner with users to improve platform usability and adoption
- Develop tools for dataset discovery and understanding
- Support governance, security, and access controls for AI solutions
- Participate in platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Apply engineering best practices including clean code and automated testing
- Research emerging AI and data technologies for platform relevance
