Job summary
Build and operate foundational platform infrastructure that enables engineers to deploy and manage Auth0 services at scale across Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure. Develop infrastructure-as-code tooling, architect resilient distributed systems, improve performance and cost, and define service indicators and objectives using DataDog and Prometheus. The role also includes securing infrastructure, leading cross-functional initiatives, mentoring engineers, and participating in on-call support.

Qualifications
- 5-8 years of software development experience.
- Deep expertise in Golang, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
- Experience architecting distributed systems and evaluating complex technical tradeoffs.
- Operational experience leading incident response, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing preventative measures.
- Ability to deliver work incrementally and experiment with AI models.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a scalable platform runtime using infrastructure-as-code.
- Enable teams to deploy and manage services across Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
- Architect resilient infrastructure for shared concerns such as service discovery and routing.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve platform resilience, scalability, and cost.
- Use DataDog and Prometheus to design service-level indicators and enforce service-level objectives.
- Design secure-by-default infrastructure and coordinate with security teams on compliance.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Participate in the team on-call rotation.
