Job summary
An expert DevOps engineer designs, deploys, administers, and evolves Kubernetes platforms, including production clusters managed with Rancher, and automates deployments through CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code. The role also implements observability, monitoring, tracing, and security controls across the development lifecycle, advancing DevOps, DevSecOps, and SRE practices in collaboration with architecture, development, systems, and cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications
- More than five years of experience in an expert DevOps role.
- Experience administering Kubernetes in production and managing clusters.
- Experience with Rancher or an alternative cluster platform such as Red Hat OpenShift, k0rdent with k0s, or Gardener.
- Experience automating deployments, hardening Docker and Kubernetes platforms, backing up and recovering environments, and managing TLS certificates.
- Experience integrating CI/CD pipeline security controls aligned with Spain's National Security Framework (ENS).
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Helm charts, Git, GitLab CI/CD, REST APIs, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and Bash and/or Python.
- Relevant education in IT and networking, computer engineering, nanoscience and nanotechnology, or software development.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, administer, and evolve Kubernetes platforms, including Rancher-managed clusters and Docker environments.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments and operations with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and tracing solutions, integrating security controls throughout the development lifecycle.
- Promote continuous improvement through DevOps, DevSecOps, and SRE practices in collaboration with architecture, development, systems, and cybersecurity teams.
