Job summary
Conceive, implement, and mature a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networking service for a public cloud, integrating it with the OpenStack ecosystem and preparing it for production. Responsibilities include network architecture and implementation with Neutron, production reliability, performance, security, and observability using metrics, logs, alerting, and SLI/SLOs. The role also advances automation and AI-assisted DevOps practices.

Qualifications
- Strong networking expertise, including routing, isolation, VXLAN overlays, and SDN.
- Knowledge of OpenStack Neutron and OVN/OVS, or an equivalent cloud networking stack.
- Confirmed experience designing and delivering infrastructure services from design through production.
- Strong Linux and automation experience.
- Proficiency in Python or Go.
- Experience designing highly available architectures using infrastructure as code, resilience testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- English communication proficiency at B2 level.
- Autonomy, ownership, adaptability, critical thinking, reliability under pressure, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Cloud security and multi-tenant isolation awareness is an asset.
- Understanding of AI applications in operations, including AIOps, automation, and augmented observability, is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to VPC service design, including architecture choices, network models, and technical trade-offs.
- Build missing service components, consolidate existing capabilities using Neutron, and validate scalability and resilience through prototyping.
- Ensure production reliability, performance, and security through metrics, logs, alerting, and SLI/SLOs.
- Identify and implement automation and optimization opportunities, including agentic AI workflows.
- Maintain DevOps standards for code quality, testing, and documentation, and operate the service through incident response and ongoing security work.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate the service with the OpenStack ecosystem.
