DevOps Engineer - UK

Job summary

Design, operate, and troubleshoot scalable, globally distributed infrastructure for high-traffic production systems. The role includes building cloud environments on AWS and Azure, optimizing CI/CD and monitoring, and supporting data-intensive applications using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in DevOps or a related engineering role, with strong AWS and cloud-native expertise.
• Experience designing and maintaining reliable, performant, and scalable high-volume production systems.
• Expertise in cloud technologies and application security, including resilient and cost-efficient architecture practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Proficiency with Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Proficiency in scripting with Node.js or Bash.
• Hands-on experience managing big data infrastructure for data-intensive applications.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and scaling.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting across cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across production, development, and testing environments.
