Job summary

Design, build, and industrialize Azure cloud foundations in a hybrid environment, including the evolution of the Landing Zone toward an Enterprise Scale model and implementation of FinOps practices. The role also covers Azure AI Foundry foundations, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Firewall, a secure cloud DMZ, and automation using Terraform, PowerShell, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, alongside Azure and on-premises operations.

Qualifications

• Confirmed Microsoft Azure expertise in architecture, governance, Landing Zones, networking, security, identity, and operations.
• Proficiency with Terraform, PowerShell, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience with FinOps, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Firewall, and cloud DMZ architectures; familiarity with Azure AI Foundry.
• Strong experience operating hybrid infrastructure, including Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, networking, security, monitoring, and incident management.
• At least seven years of experience in a demanding environment.
• Experience working with large enterprise clients.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Support a confirmed DevOps engineer in defining, building, and industrializing Azure cloud services, with knowledge transfer.
• Evolve the Azure Landing Zone from a Start Small and Expand approach to an Enterprise Scale model, and integrate existing resources.
• Implement FinOps practices for cost allocation, budgets, alerts, consumption tracking, and resource optimization.
• Build and industrialize Azure foundations for AI use cases with Azure AI Foundry.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop, including images, profiles, access rules, performance, monitoring, and capacity.
• Configure and administer Azure networking and security components, including Azure Firewall, filtering rules, routing, logging, and hybrid connectivity.
• Design and create a secure, documented, and operable cloud DMZ.
• Automate deployments and configuration using Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, PowerShell, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate Azure environments and support on-premises infrastructure, including incidents, changes, updates, and continuous improvement.
