Job summary

Plan and develop an on-premises cloud-native application platform for a crisis preparedness information system used in a military context. The role includes automating containerized application deployments through CI/CD, monitoring and optimizing platform performance, implementing security hardening, and supporting documentation and operations. The technology environment includes GitLab, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, and Keycloak.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in computer science and more than four years of relevant professional experience.
• Several years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD architecture, GitLab, ArgoCD, Nexus, Artifactory, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with HTTP/REST, GraphQL, Kafka, Java/Spring Boot, JPA database integration, and React; frontend experience is desirable.
• Good knowledge of Identity and Access Management, ideally with Keycloak or a similar tool.
• Good knowledge of certificates and DNS.
• Fluent German and very good English.

• Monitor and optimize the platform using observability tools.
• Harden systems by implementing IT security requirements.
