DevOps Platform Developer

Job summary

Arm*** is seeking a Platform Engineer with expertise in platform engineering, DevOps practices, and the software development lifecycle. This role involves working with modern tools in public and private cloud environments to deliver features and roadmap items, focusing on developer experience and high-quality solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to enabling the Central Engineering Software Group to enhance the software ecosystem around Arm***'s next-generation application processors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of platform engineering, DevOps practices, and the software development lifecycle
• Experience and understanding of automation tooling, containerization, CI pipelines, cloud platforms, and system administration
• Flexible with a variety of software development skills
• Dedication to extending knowledge of DevOps abilities
• Prior experience in a DevOps/Infrastructure engineering position
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
• Experience delivering solutions using virtualization and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Rancher, and Harvester
• Experience in Unix (Linux) Systems Administration
• Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery systems such as Jenkins or Gitlab
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python or Shell scripting

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and support developer platforms
• Provide software build and test solutions for Mobile, Server, IoT, and Automotive market segments
• Manage the lifecycle of core project infrastructure from design to deployment, maintenance, and optimization
• Continuously improve workflow quality, security, and efficiency
• Provide customer support, including timely analysis, issue resolution, requirements analysis, and task breakdown
• Communicate and collaborate with engineering IT, software development teams, and the open source community
