Senior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer operates and improves SaaS cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, efficiency, security, and scalable software delivery. The role leads system design, production troubleshooting, infrastructure automation, and team mentorship, including AI-assisted automation that must be validated before production and measured for cost and return. The work uses Linux, Bash and Python, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Terraform, and observability tools.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DevOps or operations engineer in a SaaS environment.
• Extensive Linux experience and automation scripting with Bash or Python.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code principles and tools such as Terraform.
• Ability to safely validate, govern, and measure the return on investment of AI-assisted automation.
• Strategic problem-solving informed by customer needs and empirical data.
• Strong English communication skills and a collaborative, organized approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate, scale, and troubleshoot SaaS cloud infrastructure.
• Design systems spanning multiple components and anticipate performance and scalability issues.
• Build and validate AI-assisted infrastructure automation, including manual and staging validation before production.
• Manage the costs and return on investment of AI-driven systems.
• Lead design discussions and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Establish infrastructure best practices and promote high-quality documentation.
• Mentor engineers in system design.
