Job summary
The Google Cloud Architect role focuses on designing and delivering secure cloud landing zones and hybrid architectures for federal and DoD clients. Responsibilities include architecting solutions with Google Cloud services like Compute Engine and BigQuery, mentoring engineers, and supporting end-to-end RMF activities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud experience in production or regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of GCP services, Terraform, containers/Kubernetes, Git-based CI/CD, and hybrid networking
- Experience producing architecture diagrams and explaining decisions to engineering and executive audiences
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of secure Google Cloud landing zones and resource hierarchies
- Architect solutions using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and related services
- Design hybrid connectivity, IAM architectures, Terraform modules, CI/CD/GitOps, and observability
- Support Google Distributed Cloud and air-gapped environments
- Conduct architecture workshops, design reviews, and customer briefings
- Mentor engineers and contribute to proposals and technical volumes
- Support RMF activities end-to-end
