Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Designs, implements, supports, and secures global enterprise network infrastructure across geographically dispersed business locations. The role provides senior technical leadership for Cisco and Palo Alto Networks platforms, Microsoft Azure and on-premises hybrid connectivity, incident response, and network lifecycle management. It also leads network upgrades, migrations, optimisation, security improvements, and technical guidance for project teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise networking experience in complex, geographically dispersed, multi-site environments
• Experience designing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure
• Strong understanding of networking principles, architectures, and industry best practices
• Experience supporting highly available and secure enterprise environments
• Experience with global telecommunications providers and managed service vendors
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Availability to work outside standard business hours when required

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support global enterprise network infrastructure across business locations
• Monitor network availability, performance, utilisation, and capacity
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for complex incidents and outages
• Manage Palo Alto Networks firewall platforms, policies, VPNs, and security controls
• Design and implement enterprise networking and connectivity solutions
• Support hybrid networking across Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments
• Lead network upgrades, migrations, optimisation, and lifecycle planning
• Prepare network designs, topology diagrams, implementation plans, and operational documentation
• Act as a senior technical escalation point and mentor junior personnel
