The R+V Versicherung AG is seeking a Principal System Platform Engineer (m/w/d) DB2 to join their Operations and IT department. Qualifications
- Successfully completed IT-related degree, comparable training, or relevant professional experience
- Advanced experience in operating and administering central database systems on IBM Mainframe
- Knowledge and experience with IBM and BMC database utilities, REXX, JCL, JES, SMP/E, SQL, Cobol, Java
- Strong customer and service orientation and enjoyment of teamwork
- Fluent German language skills (at least B2/C1 level)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for stable and economical operation of central z/OS database systems including associated add-on products
- Install, configure, and maintain necessary database add-on products
- Ensure provision and trouble-free operation of database procedures such as backup, reorg, recovery
- Implement object changes in test, acceptance, and production environments in coordination with application developers
- Ensure stable and performant operation through suitable monitoring
- Implement and provide procedures for test data management for application, functional, and load tests, including anonymization
- Advise application developers as a competent contact person for all database questions
