Job summary
The Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer designs, deploys, and maintains secure cloud and container systems supporting Missile Defense Agency programs, integrating scalable solutions with government infrastructure. The role covers cloud migration, Infrastructure as Code, container hardening, CI/CD, and system integration across Kubernetes platforms including Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS Elastic Container Service, and Red Hat OpenShift, with database administration for PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL.

Qualifications
- 12 or more years of general full-time work experience; advanced education may reduce this requirement.
- 6 or more years of directly related system integration experience focused on DevSecOps practices or Kubernetes.
- 1 or more years of management or leadership experience.
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with Coder Platform.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Engineer, architect, develop, and administer cloud and containerization systems.
- Assess infrastructure and identify cloud migration and containerization options.
- Manage system migrations using Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and Bash.
- Harden containers to meet DoD and MDA compliance standards.
- Develop scalable architectures for applications and infrastructure on IaaS and PaaS platforms.
- Design and implement cloud-based integration solutions that meet government requirements.
- Deploy and maintain PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL databases.
- Plan, coordinate, test, improve, and maintain IT systems.
- Collaborate with developers, network engineers, government stakeholders, and other teams.
- Document integration processes and systems, and troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and processes based on cost, risk, and mission needs.
