Cloud Engineer - Winter 2027 Co-op/Intern

Job summary

This co-op role supports cloud engineering by building and automating reliable, scalable infrastructure while improving developer productivity with AI-powered tools. The work includes AWS and Google Cloud Platform operations, Terraform and CI/CD automation, AI tool development with Gemini and Vertex AI, observability and incident troubleshooting, and prototyping AI use cases for engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant bachelor's degree, ideally in the third or fourth year.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience with at least one of Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript and the ability to develop scripts, APIs, or automation.
• Understanding of generative AI tools, such as Gemini, Vertex AI, or GitHub Copilot.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate cloud solutions using AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Develop AI-powered engineering tools and agents for documentation, code analysis, testing, and operational tasks.
• Automate developer workflows, including documentation generation, pull request summaries, and self-service tooling.
• Support cloud operations and observability by analyzing logs, troubleshooting incidents, and creating dashboards.
• Research, prototype, and measure AI use cases for testing, access reviews, cost optimization, and operational intelligence.
