Adobe Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – CDN & Web Performance

Job summary

This build-and-run role establishes and operates reliability practices for a vendor-managed platform supporting high-traffic public websites. It covers CDN and edge reliability, web performance, monitoring, incident management, release engineering, disaster recovery, and operational controls. Key work includes building Real User Monitoring, Core Web Vitals dashboards, CDN log ingestion, and synthetic monitoring; managing Git-based deployments and CDN configuration as code; and defining service objectives, recovery procedures, and audit evidence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating high-traffic public websites behind enterprise CDNs.
• Expertise in CDN origin and cache behavior, cache invalidation, edge logic, TLS, and DNS.
• Practical WAF experience, including tuning false positives and configuring bot management.
• Experience defining service level objectives and error budgets and building observability with logs, real-user telemetry, and synthetic monitoring.
• Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, page loading and rendering, browser performance analysis, and script-related performance regressions.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and CSS and troubleshooting browser-delivered applications.
• Experience with Git-based release engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure or configuration as code.
• Experience leading customer-facing incidents and producing technical incident evidence.
• Experience in regulated environments, including change control, audit evidence, access management, and third-party risk requirements.
• Experience operating vendor-managed or SaaS platforms and managing vendor escalation.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, especially Edge Delivery Services and Assets as a Cloud Service.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Experience supporting digital experiences in English and French.
• Knowledge of website accessibility and SEO.
• Scripting or automation experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CDN and edge configuration, DNS, certificates, caching, cache invalidation, and third-party integrations.
• Build and operate external synthetic monitoring and automated test suites.
• Run smoke tests for dependent interfaces after changes.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and lead customer-facing incident response.
• Manage vendor escalation procedures and incident evidence.
• Design change control for Git-based production deployments and operate release pipeline controls.
• Own and rehearse rollback and recovery procedures.
• Define recovery time and recovery point objectives with the business and conduct disaster recovery testing.
• Establish service level objectives, Core Web Vitals thresholds, and performance reporting.
• Build observability using real-user monitoring, CDN logs, and synthetic monitoring.
• Manage third-party scripts and tag governance, including performance budgets.
• Manage SIEM log ingestion and retention, access reviews, configuration records, and audit evidence.
