Job summary
The DevOps Engineer for AI & Analytics is responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining AI products within secure, on-premise environments. Key tasks include ensuring compliance with IT-Grundschutz standards, facilitating continuous integration and delivery of AI releases, and monitoring applications hosted on OpenShift and Kubernetes. This role requires expertise in containerization, CI/CD tooling, and security controls for air-gapped environments.

Qualifications
- strong experience in containerization and orchestration
- hands-on knowledge of automated CI/CD tooling and monitoring stacks
- familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle and local AI model serving
- practical understanding of BSI IT-Grundschutz standards
- strong collaborative, problem-solving, and communication skills
- this position requires a security clearance or eligibility for clearance
- fluent in German and English with excellent writing skills
Responsibilities
- oversee and actively participate in the deployment, operation, and maintenance of AI & Analytics products and services
- manage compliance with IT-Grundschutz and other German national security requirements
- ensure continuous availability, performance, and monitoring of local generative AI applications
- facilitate automated workflows and tools for development teams
- create clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
- participate in incident response and refine disaster recovery strategies
- conduct technical evaluations and proof-of-concept testing for emerging technologies
- monitor and optimize resource usage across on-premise infrastructure
