AI / DevOps Engineer – Agentic Systems & Automation

Job summary

The Lead DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating AI agents and orchestration frameworks to automate operational and engineering workflows. Key responsibilities include developing automation pipelines, implementing Python-based services, and evolving CI/CD pipelines for AI-enabled services, utilizing technologies such as large language models (LLMs) and various integration tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert-level Python development experience with strong knowledge of automation and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, working with Git, and integrating systems through REST APIs.
• Proficiency in YAML and JSON.
• Experience building AI agents, autonomous systems, or AI-driven automation solutions, with familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and tool-calling frameworks.
• Experience combining AI decision logic with deterministic automation and designing event-driven, workflow-based systems.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and collaborate effectively across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and continuously improve AI agents that automate operational, engineering, and support workflows.
• Develop agent orchestration frameworks using large language models (LLMs), tool integrations, structured workflows, and workflow-based automation patterns.
• Build and maintain automation pipelines that combine AI reasoning and decision-making with deterministic systems, controls, and operational processes.
• Implement Python-based services supporting AI agent execution, control, and integration with internal platforms including APIs, ITSM systems, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines for AI-enabled services and automation platforms.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex AI and automation issues while identifying opportunities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort through agentic automation.
• Document architectures and workflows, research emerging AI technologies, and develop proofs of concept to evaluate new capabilities.
