Job summary
The AI DevOps Engineer develops and operates tools and infrastructure that enable AI teams to deliver end-to-end solutions on distributed systems. The role includes maintaining open-source tools, optimizing deployment and infrastructure with MLOps, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams, and implementing IaaS and GitOps projects. It also designs MLOps architectures using technologies such as Airflow, Kubeflow, MLflow, PyTorch, and Apache NiFi.

Qualifications
- Strong Linux experience, including RHEL or Ubuntu.
- Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or Podman.
- Experience with machine-learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks and other machine-learning development environments.
- Strong Python skills; experience with R, Julia, Java, or C++ is an advantage.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools, including GitLab or GitLab CI.
- Experience with repository management systems such as Nexus or Artifactory.
- Familiarity with versioned storage integrations such as S3 or MinIO.
- Knowledge of networking and IT security.
- Understanding of AI application needs, including architecture, data storage, and deployment to production.
- C1-level German proficiency.
- EU citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and provide tools that help AI teams deliver end-to-end solutions on distributed systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain open-source tools in distributed environments.
- Optimize infrastructure and support reliable operations with MLOps Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists.
- Select and implement suitable architecture components and systems.
- Develop architecture and developer guidelines for systems and tools.
- Implement IaaS, GitOps, and MLOps projects and automate processes where appropriate.
- Design and implement MLOps architectures using tools such as Airflow, Kubeflow, MLflow, PyTorch, and Apache NiFi.
