Job summary
The AI Platform Engineer is tasked with designing, building, and deploying AI-driven solutions that enhance customer engagement and staff platforms within the retail sector. Responsibilities include integrating AI solutions with existing systems, evaluating suitable AI platforms, and staying updated on advancements in generative AI and large language models. This role demands hands-on experience with AI technologies such as chatbots and voice agents, particularly in the Australian retail and ecommerce landscape.
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience in AI solutions
- 5+ years in a technology engineering or AI/ML role in Australia retail/ecommerce
- Experience with contact centre platforms like Amazon Connect or Salesforce Voice
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms
- Experience in a retail or ecommerce business in Australia
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI-powered solutions
- Work closely with internal teams on system integrations
- Evaluate and recommend AI platforms and tooling for retail and ecommerce
- Integrate AI solutions with existing business systems
- Document technical designs and integration architectures
- Stay current with advancements in generative AI and large language models
- Support QA and testing of automated flows
- Contribute to the AI transformation roadmap
