Job summary
The AI Platform Engineer operates the technical foundation for enterprise AI systems, keeping platforms reliable, secure, observable, and connected to organizational data and services. The role administers Anthropic Claude and OpenAI deployments, manages API access and configurations, builds integrations and automations with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, troubleshoots pipelines, and coordinates with DevOps, data engineering, and InfoSec on deployments, security, and data flows.

Qualifications
- Experience administering enterprise AI platforms such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI.
- Familiarity with prompt pipelines, MCP, tool-calling frameworks, vector databases, RAG, and embedding workflows.
- Experience with Databricks or comparable data and machine-learning platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for scripting, automation, and integrations.
- Experience building and maintaining REST API integrations, including authentication, webhooks, and error handling.
- Ability to work with existing codebases and familiarity with Git and deployment practices.
- Experience monitoring distributed systems or SaaS platforms, reviewing logs, setting alerts, and diagnosing performance or availability issues.
- Working knowledge of information security for SaaS and API-based systems, including access controls, credential management, data handling, and audit logging.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
- Experience working with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills, including runbooks, standard operating procedures, architecture notes, and internal guides.
Responsibilities
- Administer enterprise AI platforms, including Anthropic Claude and OpenAI deployments.
- Manage user access, API keys, workspace configurations, and environment settings.
- Monitor system health, usage, API performance, uptime, errors, and integration reliability; troubleshoot operational issues.
- Develop scripts, connectors, and automations for AI-assisted workflows.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, data flows, and API connectivity.
- Coordinate AI and knowledge-management pipeline work, including vector-store ingestion, retrieval configuration, and source-data connections.
- Coordinate with DevOps, software engineering, and data engineering on deployments and infrastructure dependencies.
- Liaise with InfoSec on AI system security, data handling, access controls, and compliance.
- Track AI resource utilization and identify cost-efficiency improvements.
- Support teams adopting AI tools and contribute to rollout planning and technical guidance.
