AI Platform Engineer

Job summary

Build backend infrastructure for an agentic AI platform that helps enterprises execute workflows using AI models, tools, and enterprise data. Design reusable workflows, APIs, and distributed execution, enabling interoperability through A2A and MCP while ensuring durable execution, monitoring, and secure multi-tenant operations. The work includes improving existing systems and engineering practices using Python, databases, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience building production backend or distributed systems.
• Strong Python and database skills.
• Experience designing APIs, asynchronous workflows, and reliable execution systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, CI/CD, and production debugging.
• Practical understanding of AI agents, tool calling, agent harnesses, and evaluation.
• Strong engineering judgment and ability to own complex systems from design through production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services for reusable AI workflows, APIs, and distributed execution.
• Expose platform capabilities through A2A and MCP with consistent execution, state management, and permissions.
• Implement durable execution, retries, recovery, monitoring, and secure multi-tenant operations.
• Evaluate existing functionality, address technical gaps, and establish reusable, tested workflow contracts.
• Use AI coding agents, automated testing, and evaluation systems to improve development speed and quality.
