Job summary
The AI Supercomputing Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on developing and operating the compute and software infrastructure for a leading AI supercomputing center. Key responsibilities include sourcing hardware, deploying software-defined infrastructure with Kubernetes and Terraform, and optimizing software for efficient use. Collaboration with researchers is essential to design and operate large-scale GPU and CPU/GPU workloads.
Qualifications
- Desire to build and secure modern software-defined supercomputing systems
- Enjoyment in working with domain and AI researchers
- Experience in building clusters or systems with motivation to scale
- Passion for building large distributed, highly available systems for national-scale research
Responsibilities
- Sourcing hardware and system design
- Deploying software-defined infrastructure using Kubernetes and Terraform / OpenTofu
- Building and operating platforms for leading-edge research
- Optimizing software for environmental and economic efficiency
