Job summary
This Level 2 application support role helps agile teams keep production applications reliable, secure, and performant across capital markets technology systems. You will resolve production incidents, analyze system metrics, automate resilience and efficiency improvements, support infrastructure CI/CD, and build and maintain solutions across PaaS, IaaS, and on-premises environments using technologies such as Python, Shell, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Azure, GCP, or AWS.

Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Agile methodology.
- 1–3 years of experience maintaining and operating mission-critical distributed systems.
- Ability to write scripts or code from scratch using Python and Shell.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Go templating, ArgoCD, and Rancher.
- Knowledge of at least one cloud provider: Azure, GCP, or AWS.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol, order management systems, or market data is desirable.
- Experience with systems benchmarking and performance testing is desirable.
- Familiarity with monitoring, data visualization, or logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Graphite, or Nagios is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support production applications as part of a Level 2 application support team.
- Resolve production incidents with agile development and internal customer support teams.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve system resilience and efficiency.
- Facilitate infrastructure CI/CD using DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Debug systems and analyze metrics to identify issues.
- Recommend technical and procedural improvements.
- Identify resource bottlenecks and collaborate with teams to test and tune system performance.
- Build and support solutions across PaaS, IaaS, and traditional on-premises technology stacks.
