The API Governance & Platform Engineer will work within an international retail company's IT department, focusing on API governance and management using Apigee.

Responsibilities

• Apply API management standards on requests for exposure, consumption, and evolution
• Verify completeness of requests before processing
• Challenge requests that pose complexity, security, or technical debt risks
• Understand end-to-end application flow before implementation
• Analyze impacts of requests on existing applications and performance
• Support IT/Digital teams from need expression to service integration
• Create, maintain, and evolve Apigee proxies, shared flows, and policies
• Participate in expert L3 support for qualified API incidents
