Job summary

This role manages application operations and lifecycle for public-sector clients, coordinating the transition of applications from project delivery into production. Responsibilities include leading IT specialists, ensuring service-level commitments for second- and third-level support, applying DevSecOps practices, and planning change requests and application enhancements. The work also contributes to expanding cloud-focused application management, particularly with AWS and Azure.

• Degree in business informatics, computer science, or economics, or comparable vocational training.
• Experience as an application manager providing second- and third-level support, or as a project manager for software development projects.
• Initial IT project management experience, including customer reporting, planning, or budget responsibility.
• Familiarity with ITIL and experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, and a professional client-facing manner.
• Independent, accountable, results-oriented approach and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for public-sector clients.
• Lead specialists across IT disciplines and coordinate with software engineering, hosting, security, product, and project teams.
• Manage application lifecycles and ensure service-level commitments for maintenance and second- and third-level support.
• Prepare applications for operational handover from project delivery.
• Apply DevSecOps practices and align workflows with client needs.
• Contribute to the growth of cloud-focused application management, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Prioritize and plan client change requests and adaptive enhancements based on available engineering capacity.
