Application Release Engineer

Job summary

The Application Release Engineer will deliver business application technology, perform application deployments, and lead end-to-end product deployments across all environments. This role involves designing, building, implementing, and maintaining automation for code packages, artifacts, and configurations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps
• Knowledge of JBoss, Springboot, Websphere, IHS, Tomcat
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing applications on Linux, AIX, and Windows server infrastructure
• Experience with Linux/Unix Administration
• Knowledge of Python/Shell scripting
• Experience with Kubernetes and GCP
• College or University degree or equivalent work experience
• Six or more years in the IT Technology field
• Significant experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments
• Knowledge of various web-based technologies and database management best practices
• Understanding of networking fundamentals
• Ability to deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture
• Drive towards automating repetitive tasks through scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python, JavaScript, YAML)
• Ability to implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments (Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Salt, Terraform, Jira, Confluence)
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS)
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, MKS)
• Experience working in and advocating for agile environments
• Azure certifications
• Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, effective troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
