Associate Cloud Engineer

Job summary

As an Associate Cloud Engineer at Howden, you will join the Cloud Engineering team, contributing to the build, operation, and improvement of the Azure cloud platform.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of core cloud services: compute, storage, networking, identity
• Interest in Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Bicep
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Understanding of environment and access control governance
• Awareness of cloud security fundamentals
• Experience with engineering standards in shared environments
• Comfortable making changes to production systems
• Interest in monitoring and logging
• Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically
• Willingness to document work clearly
• Detail-oriented mindset for shared infrastructure
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable in agile ceremonies and planning sessions
• Motivated to develop expertise in cloud engineering

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve Azure cloud platform
• Work on core platform components for cloud-hosted workloads
• Contribute to platform changes using Infrastructure as Code
