Job summary

Bla*** is seeking an Associate, DevOps Engineer to provide operational support for the Aladdin infrastructure production environment, ensuring high availability and managing pre-production environments.

Qualifications

  • two (2) years of experience with Linux system operations
  • System administration including OS-level diagnostics
  • Programming experience in Java, Python, Perl and shell scripting
  • Cloud Native Platforms including Azure, AWS and GCP
  • Automation and configuration tools including Ansible, Chef, and Jenkins
  • Orchestration and monitoring tools including Kafka, Kubernetes, Grafana and Prometheus
  • Alert handling automation tools including AWX and Drools
  • Enterprise tools including ServiceNow, Cutover and Autosys

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing operational support for the Aladdin infrastructure production environment
  • Manage pre-production environments and developer support during US hours
  • Identify and implement process improvements for pre-production support, releases, production syncs, and environment stability
  • Perform root cause analysis and system performance diagnostics
  • Collaborate with development teams and application owners to debug applications
  • Communicate clearly and effectively during incident bridges and calls
  • Build opportunities to integrate and automate operational processes
  • Assist with onboarding new technologies, proof-of-concept build-out, and disaster recovery testing and planning
  • Work with internal development groups to manage application changes and production releases
