Associate DevSecOps Engineer

Job summary

The Associate DevSecOps Engineer role at Shift involves supporting the design, build, and integration of security solutions across applications, maintaining secure infrastructure, and assisting with security testing.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in cloud infrastructure or security role, or relevant qualification.
• Exposure to at least one scripting or programming language.
• Familiarity with Azure (IaaS/PaaS).
• Awareness of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Foundational understanding of security concepts.
• Curiosity about CI/CD tooling.
• Adaptability and accountability in work.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, build and integration of security solutions.
• Maintain and improve secure infrastructure.
• Work with automated deployment pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Assist with security testing and vulnerability scanning.
• Monitor current security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Provide first line support for infrastructure requests.
• Contribute to policies, risk assessments, and security controls.
