Job summary

The Associate Director (Lead Cloud Architect) is responsible for architecting, developing, and automating critical components of the AWS Cloud Platform and application delivery pipeline, focusing on innovation and AI/ML integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS level technical degree; Computer Science or Engineering preferred
• 10+ years in IT/Software Development, with 7+ years in AWS engineering and DevOps
• Expert proficiency in Python, NodeJS, and CloudFormation
• Expert knowledge of GitHub for code management
• Ability to define and deliver platform capabilities with a product development mindset
• Expertise in designing and debugging IAM policies and network architectures

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner and primary builder of the AWS Landing Zone architecture
• Author and maintain advanced Infrastructure-as-Code modules using CloudFormation
• Architect and validate scalable, resilient cloud-native architectures for enterprise applications
• Build robust, scalable, secure cloud-native solutions
• Embed security automation in the CI/CD pipeline
• Own the cloud platform and developer toolchain as a product
• Lead integration of emerging technologies
• Optimize the enterprise CI/CD platform
• Develop mechanisms to optimize AWS spend
• Establish technical standards and quality gates for cloud adoption
• Lead technical review process for major cloud projects
