Job summary
Seeking a motivated Associate Site Reliability Engineer to support site reliability engineering and cloud operations for VA enterprise healthcare platforms, ensuring availability and performance of mission-critical environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related role
- Understanding of Linux systems and cloud infrastructure
- Exposure to scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell
- Familiarity with monitoring and incident response
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automation concepts
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Eligibility for Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Support Site Reliability Engineering activities
- Maintain service reliability and performance
- Gather and review operational metrics
- Assist with monitoring and dashboard maintenance
- Participate in incident response and service restoration
- Document incidents and operational procedures
- Contribute to automation tasks and pipeline updates
- Support CI/CD processes and environment maintenance
- Assist with infrastructure changes
- Support cloud environments in AWS
- Maintain system documentation and inventory
- Assist with validation and testing of new releases
- Follow security and operational procedures
- Collaborate with teams to resolve issues
- Develop technical skills in cloud engineering
