Job summary

The Automation Engineer role is essential for ensuring the quality and reliability of technology platforms by developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs. Responsibilities include creating and executing automated test scripts, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with developers to ensure thorough testing of new features and fixes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Automation Testing or Quality Assurance
  • Knowledge of web, mobile (iOS and Android), and cross-browser automation testing
  • Understanding of REST APIs and experience with API integrations
  • Experience creating automated test scripts with Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG
  • Experience using Python and pytest for automation testing
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools like Sauce Labs
  • Experience in Agile environments and methodologies
  • Experience in regression, functional, system, and user acceptance testing
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical collaboration
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence for test management
  • Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and collaborative approach

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs
  • Collaborate with developers for thorough testing of new features and fixes
  • Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and test suites
  • Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
  • Identify, log, and escalate defects using testing tools
  • Review functional requirements for effective test coverage
  • Produce reports on testing progress and issues
  • Maintain API automation tests for third-party integrations
  • Support regression, functional, system, and user acceptance testing
  • Continuously improve automation processes and frameworks
  • Align testing activities with project and business priorities
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
