Job summary

The Automation Platform Engineer develops and operates platforms, tools, and automation solutions that support efficient, high-quality software development, combining DevOps practices with industrial automation. The role builds CI/CD platforms and pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments; develops verification frameworks; and integrates engineering tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker with automation scripts in PowerShell or Python.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree or equivalent qualification
• Substantial experience building, operating, or improving development, testing, or automation environments
• Strong technical understanding
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach
• Good German and English skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate CI/CD and automation platforms
• Administer, integrate, and extend Jenkins, Git, Docker, and other engineering tools
• Design, implement, and optimize build, test, and deployment pipelines
• Develop methods and frameworks for automated testing and verification throughout the software development lifecycle
• Create automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, or comparable technologies
• Integrate systems and tools into an end-to-end toolchain
• Collaborate with software developers, automation engineers, and business teams
• Improve software quality, traceability, and process stability
