Avaloq Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Avaloq Infrastructure Engineer operates and maintains infrastructure for a business-critical banking platform, supporting its availability, resilience, performance, and business continuity. The role manages Avaloq operations and batch processes on an ExaCC environment, investigates database and operational issues, monitors platform health, supports deployments and changes, and maintains technical plans, procedures, and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Strong Avaloq technical and operational knowledge, including architecture and infrastructure components.
• Experience with Avaloq batch operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong database investigation and operational skills; Oracle experience is preferred.
• Experience operating applications in Linux or Unix environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Strong incident investigation, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting production and business-critical banking platforms.
• Understanding of deployment, change, and release management processes.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
• Understanding of how technical decisions support customers and enable high-availability, cost-effective systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and technically manage the Avaloq platform hosted on ExaCC.
• Manage and monitor Avaloq operations and batch processes; investigate and resolve operational issues.
• Perform database investigations and operational activities to support incident resolution, service stability, and platform performance.
• Monitor platform infrastructure health, performance, and availability, and address technical issues proactively.
• Support infrastructure deployments, maintenance, and platform changes while minimizing business impact.
• Create and maintain operational procedures, technical implementation plans, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with application, development, infrastructure, and support teams to investigate incidents and ensure reliable platform operation.
• Improve monitoring, operational processes, and technical controls to strengthen resilience and business continuity.
