AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Build and support cloud platforms and production infrastructure for enterprise machine learning and generative AI, transforming data scientists’ offline models into scalable production systems. Design deployment and monitoring pipelines, develop training and inference services, apply CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices, and support model auditability, versioning, and data security using AWS, SageMaker, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of cloud application development or administration experience, including at least 4 years with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience building end-to-end systems as a platform engineer or ML DevOps engineer using AWS SageMaker or similar tools
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and shell scripting
• Experience building and deploying cloud workloads, preferably on AWS
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or generative AI
• Knowledge of Chef, Python, Go, cloud networking, and security principles and processes
• Ability to analyze escalations, prioritize work, identify owners, and resolve blockers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with remote, multicultural teams
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, including interpreting design documents and communicating implementations

Responsibilities

• Design ML deployment and monitoring pipelines and infrastructure for enterprise-scale systems
• Productionize offline models developed by data scientists
• Develop and deploy scalable machine learning training and inference tools and services
• Evaluate technologies to improve system performance, maintainability, and reliability
• Apply software engineering practices, including CI/CD and automation, to machine learning systems
• Support model auditability, versioning, and data security
• Facilitate development and deployment of machine learning proof of concepts
• Gather client requirements and track progress
