Job summary

As an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer, you will build and evolve the foundation for product teams, enabling them to move fast, safely, and at scale. You will shape a modern internal developer platform on AWS, focusing on scalability, reliability, and developer experience, while driving platform engineering excellence. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of software development, deployment, and operation for high-traffic digital products and business-critical internal systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience operating critical large-scale AWS environments.
  • Broad knowledge of AWS technologies including compute, storage, networking, backup and recovery, and cloud security best practices.
  • Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CI/CD, automation practices, agile software delivery, and Platform Engineering concepts.
  • Experience developing internal developer platforms.
  • Strong sense of end-to-end ownership and ability to drive topics forward in complex environments.
  • Clear and respectful communication skills, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to support knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Systems and product mindset with a strong focus on internal users and their needs.
  • Ability to challenge existing solutions thoughtfully and make sound engineering trade-offs balancing quality, speed, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and continuously improve the internal developer platform on AWS using Terraform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Automate infrastructure delivery through CI/CD pipelines and expand self-service capabilities for product teams.
  • Own and evolve core platform components to enable autonomous service building, deployment, and operation.
  • Review pull requests, share knowledge, and maintain high engineering standards across the platform.
  • Evaluate and introduce new AWS services, tools, and cloud-native patterns that add value.
  • Strengthen platform security, compliance, and resilience through clear standards, guardrails, and robust design.
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand needs, remove bottlenecks, and translate needs into scalable platform solutions.
