AWS Cloud Engineer (m/w)

Job summary

The AWS Cloud Engineer role is responsible for developing and managing the AWS Landing Zone using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to create a secure and efficient cloud platform. Key responsibilities include operating the cloud platform, evaluating new AWS services for cost efficiency and compliance, and managing IAM and security concepts. This position requires extensive expertise in AWS services, particularly in multi-account architectures and governance.

Qualifications

• at least 5 years of experience as a (Senior) AWS Cloud Engineer
• extensive expertise in AWS services with a focus on multi-account architectures, governance, and AWS account vending at enterprise level
• proven experience in IaC (Terraform, CI/CD, Python)
• very good German skills and knowledge of a second official language; English skills are an advantage

Responsibilities

• develop AWS Landing Zone using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• operate and support cloud platform (2nd-/3rd-level, on-call)
• evaluate and integrate new AWS services for cost efficiency, compliance, and scalability
• manage and enforce IAM and security concepts (guardrails, SCPs)
• analyze and resolve security incidents and findings
• empower development and specialist teams and support onboarding and migrations
