Job summary

The AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will support, improve, and evolve cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. This role involves collaborating with developers and IT colleagues to ensure secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective systems, covering infrastructure engineering, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving and working across a varied technical landscape.

Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals, curiosity, and willingness to learn
  • Experience managing AWS environments and core services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with cloud networking, monitoring, and security practices
  • Experience with Linux administration and scripting
  • Experience with containers and container platforms (Docker, ECS)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure and supporting operational environments
  • Experience working within DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering environments

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure
  • Support cloud reliability, scalability, security, and performance
  • Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
  • Drive transition to a fully IaC-managed environment
  • Support DevOps workflows across development and production environments
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and support incident resolution
  • Improve backup, recovery, resilience, and high-availability approaches
  • Support infrastructure security and data protection requirements
  • Work with development teams to improve deployment and operational processes
  • Contribute to technical planning and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Improve observability, automation, and operational maturity across the platform
