AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

Job summary

The AWS Cloud Platform Engineer role is centered on establishing and managing the foundational AWS platform, which includes accounts, networking, identity, and infrastructure-as-code. Responsibilities encompass designing multi-account AWS structures, implementing secure VPC designs, defining IAM roles, and creating CI/CD pipelines for container deployment using tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, and Amazon ECR.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of cloud, platform or DevOps engineering experience
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Terraform and/or AWS CDK/CloudFormation
• Deep understanding of AWS IAM and permissions
• Solid knowledge of AWS networking principles
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines
• Proficient in container technologies
• Familiarity with secrets and configuration management
• Expertise in at least one focus area and knowledge of the other

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-account AWS structure
• Build secure VPC designs and private connectivity
• Define IAM roles and permission boundaries
• Create and maintain reusable Terraform and/or AWS CDK modules
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for container deployment
• Automate environment promotion processes
• Configure and deploy agents to AgentCore Runtime
• Create starter repositories and pipeline templates
• Integrate security and compliance measures
• Document modules and processes
