Job summary
Leidos is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join the LCST Programme team, focusing on designing, implementing, and supporting secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services and Infrastructure as Code.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in programming languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- Experience with Redhat OS
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
- Experience as Redhat and Windows Admin
- Experience in containerized solutions
- Experience in application troubleshooting
- Experience with IAC using Terraform
- Experience with configuration management using Ansible or similar tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Experience in automation
Responsibilities
- Manage source code with GIT, including pull requests and branching strategies
- Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, ECR, ECS, and RDS
- Use IAC with Terraform and Ansible for cloud environments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Write and maintain scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell
- Utilize containerization with Docker and configuration management with Ansible
- Implement secrets management and access control with tools like Vault
- Apply AWS security best practices, including encryption and monitoring
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions like CloudWatch
- Work in Agile teams, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives
- Design scalable and cost-effective cloud-native solutions
- Troubleshoot and solve problems in complex environments
- Manage routing, traffic, and load balancing with NGINX and AWS tools
- Follow structured release and change management processes
- Support Java application environments and integrations
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in delivery pipelines
- Design and manage SNS topics for event-driven architectures
- Use Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery
- Manage identity and access with Active Directory and ADFS
