Qualifications

  • Foundational proficiency in critical thinking, relationship management, adaptability
  • Intermediate proficiency in database management, cloud governance, cloud security, automation for application lifecycle management, security and audit compliance, systems thinking, communication skills, collaboration, analytical skills, data-driven decision making
  • Advanced proficiency in cloud infrastructure components, configuration management, infrastructure as code, microservices architecture, source control management
  • Typically 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency from extensive education and business experience

Responsibilities

  • Support cloud and infrastructure activities across various platforms and operating systems
  • Provision, install/configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software
  • Maintain day-to-day operation of computer networks
  • Install, configure, and maintain firewalls for network security
  • Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups
  • Procure routers, switches, and other network equipment
  • Plan, implement, oversee, and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructures
  • Coordinate and manage hybrid cloud projects
  • Develop service catalogue offerings for Public cloud and Software Defined Data Centre
  • Provide architecting and engineering expertise in cloud solutions
  • Participate in building and operating DevOps infrastructure
  • Implement automation to improve operation, security, and cost efficiency
  • Define technical requirements for business processes and integrations
  • Establish governance and enforce quality standards for cloud architectures
  • Advise development teams on on-prem infrastructure for cloud migration
  • Deploy and debug code for cloud initiatives
  • Assist development teams with cloud transformation of applications
  • Oversee monitoring and site reliability engineering solutions
  • Provide specialized consulting and technical support
  • Identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules
