Job summary

The AWS Platform Engineer role focuses on developing, operating, and optimizing the Perforce/Helix Core platform within AWS environments. Key responsibilities include managing AWS services such as EC2 and ECS/Fargate, automating infrastructure processes with Terraform and PowerShell 7, and creating documentation and runbooks while conducting workshops in both German and English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, IT Security, Technical Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Experience in operating and administering Perforce/Helix Core environments
• Strong knowledge of AWS and practical experience with services like EC2, ECS/Fargate, IAM, KMS, ALB, Auto Scaling
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and automation with PowerShell 7, experience with Docker and DevOps methods
• Structured work style, clear documentation, and willingness to share knowledge in workshops and coaching
• Fluent in English, German skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop, operate, and optimize the Perforce/Helix Core platform within AWS environments
• Manage stable operation of AWS services like EC2, ECS/Fargate, ALB, Auto Scaling, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and SSM
• Implement and manage Perforce Streams, Protections, Triggers, Extensions, and disaster recovery concepts
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes with Terraform, PowerShell 7, and Docker-based solutions
• Support applications like Helix Authentication Service, SSO/OIDC integrations, and migration tools
• Create runbooks and documentation, and conduct knowledge transfer through workshops and coaching
