Job summary

Platform Engineer to design and implement Disaster Recovery capacity in Warm Pilot mode within a critical cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in architecture and design as a Platform Engineer.
• Strong experience in operating AWS-based production platforms.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, automation, and deployment standardization.
• Good understanding of resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, and production operations.
• Ability to design robust, simple, maintainable, and testable solutions.
• Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams and technical domains.
• Attention to detail and high quality of deliverables, including documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge Disaster Recovery architecture for critical cloud workloads.
• Review and challenge technical patterns related to failover, failback, replication, synchronization, and recovery orchestration.
• Translate resilience and recovery requirements into robust, pragmatic, and scalable technical solutions.
• Implement DR infrastructure and components via Infrastructure as Code and GitOps principles.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure end-to-end consistency.
• Define and document failover, failback, recovery validation, and DR testing procedures.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, single points of failure, and operational gaps.
