AWS Technical Cloud Engineer

Job summary

The AWS Technical Cloud Engineer designs, supports, and enhances enterprise-scale AWS infrastructure across complex, governed, multi-account environments. The role focuses on infrastructure automation with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, cloud security and governance, and reliable platform services, including containerised workloads on Amazon EKS and Kubernetes. It also involves automating operations, troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues, and providing technical guidance to engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and RDS.
• Expertise in Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Scripting and automation capability using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and AWS CLI.
• Understanding of AWS security, identity management, and network security best practices.
• Experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale, governed AWS environments with multi-account structures.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support AWS cloud infrastructure across enterprise environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Automate operational and deployment activities using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and AWS CLI.
• Manage and improve AWS security, IAM controls, networking, and governance frameworks.
• Support and optimise containerised workloads using Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues across multiple AWS accounts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and engage with business and technical stakeholders.
