Job summary

The Azure/AWS Cloud Engineer role is designed to support government clients by establishing and optimizing cloud-based technologies in a hybrid environment, ensuring security, performance, and scalability. Key responsibilities include utilizing DoD approved cloud service providers, developing automation capabilities with tools like Ansible and Terraform, and acting as a trusted advisor during client engagements.

Qualifications

• Clearance Required: Secret
• 12 years of cloud-related support experience
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS
• DoD 8570/8140 aligned certification such as CompTIA Security+
• Knowledge of DoD guidance and governance
• Skills in Cloud, IT Infrastructure, Architecture, and Security
• Core System Administration skills in Linux or Windows
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling
• Understanding of Kubernetes, ECS, and Docker fundamentals
• Proficient in CI/CD tools

Responsibilities

• Establish cloud-based technology in a government hybrid cloud environment
• Support customer cloud strategy with DoD approved cloud service providers
• Engineer solution capabilities to meet customer requirements
• Act as a Cloud SME for technical decisions during client engagements
• Perform architecture and design analysis using systems engineering
• Develop deployment and process automation capabilities
• Utilize DevSecOps with IaC tools
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting
• Produce clear documentation for cloud environments
