Job summary

The Azure Cloud Architect role involves planning and implementing scalable cloud solutions using the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and Enterprise Scale. Responsibilities include designing network architectures, developing cloud governance strategies, implementing security measures, and automating resource provisioning with Terraform, while managing Azure Kubernetes Service for containerized applications.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cloud architecture, particularly with Microsoft Azure
• Ability to create strategies and concepts for cloud implementations
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud governance, security architectures, and hybrid cloud approaches
• Solid understanding of network design and management of cloud networks
• Knowledge of setup and configuration of Entra ID, hybrid identity, privileged identity management, and RBAC is a plus
• Fluent in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken
• Preferred: Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement scalable cloud solutions based on the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and Enterprise Scale
• Design and manage hub-spoke architectures to optimize network security and performance
• Develop concepts, governance strategies, and best practices for compliant cloud environments
• Implement security measures, including hybrid identity solutions, Entra ID, privileged identity management, and RBAC
• Design and integrate hybrid infrastructures that seamlessly connect local and cloud resources
• Automate cloud resource provisioning with Terraform
• Implement and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for containerized applications
