Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to design and deploy Azure services while ensuring compliance with security and scalability best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, including architecture, configuration, and management.
• Familiarity with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, AKS, Azure Databases.
• Strong experience with PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Relevant active Azure certifications preferred.
• Full stack development experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Azure services, ensuring compliance with best practices for security, scalability, and availability.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Configure Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Storage Accounts.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for application and infrastructure performance.
• Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and audits.
• Automate routine tasks and workflows using Azure Automation and develop Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical support for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and availability issues.
• Participate in assessments and audits of existing Azure deployments.
• Ensure operational activities are completed within required SLAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including technical guides.
• Stay updated on emerging Azure services and technologies.
